Drum Roll for Perfect DIP Bar

CM Teammates – drum roll please or perhaps a 21 gun salute (Okay – that’s a bit much) – but after months of prototyping (and many, many broken prototypes) it’s time to let you know about our latest product launch: the PERFECT DIP BAR. Why is it Perfect? Good question: first, it mounts onto your existing Perfect Pullup without tools (however, we do suggest you swap out your bottom bracket of your Perfect Pullup with the included Perfect Dip Bar bracket). It attaches/removes within 7 seconds (yes – we’ve timed it) – but the best part is: it’s the first adjustable bar that adjusts to your Perfect shoulder/elbow width to ensure you get the maximum tricep engagement while maintaining PERFECT shoulder – elbow – wrist alignment.

We’re Fired Up about it and we’re looking forward to hearing from you about it – first ten comments (success stories – positive – negative – whatever) posted to me on CHARLIE MIKE get a free t-shirt!

I recently bought the perfect pullup system and right after I bought it, I saw the perfect dip bar. How would I go about buying the perfect dip bar on it's own?

I like the addition. There is no excuse for not getting in shape.

YogiBear -- go to perfectpullup.com -- the Dip Bar can be bought as an individual unit. Report back after you've used it.

You do dips like I do. Lots of going down; little going up, especially that last dip. :) Looks like the bar is going to dent my molding on my door facing. It also looks that if you max yourself out and drop off/ let go of the bar it is going to fall off the pullup bar.

Michael D -- Thanks for posting your observations - I like your attention to detail.

To your points – you make a great point about denting door frames through inadequate pad protection; you must have some experience with pullup bars that use leverage and minimal padding which do exactly that – dent the outside of your doorframe. We’ve learned this one ourselves – so that’s why we made our dip bar padding TWICE as thick to ensure it has proper surface area NOT to damage the doorframe.

Secondly, you are more than welcome to do dips facing the horizontal bar – many of us at Team Perfect like to do it that way because the bar provides extra motivational for getting back up – but if you don’t care for that level of inspiration, then turn around and use the Perfect Dip Bar facing in the opposite direction.

Alden -- I just order the Perfect DIP Bar to add to my Perfect Pullup Bar and Perfect Pushups. I simply love your products. They have worked wonders for me so I'm excited to start using the product.

Thanks again continuing to come up with fantastic fitness products.

I'm going to order this product, but I must say I've had some issues with the perfect pullups. I ordered them with the abstracts as soon as they were available and the hardware wasn't up to snuff. I did manage to make two or three separate returns due to one of the ab straps having a cracked triangle support (the one that the carabineer connects to.) I also had one of the pull up handles crack and it was promptly replaced with the newly designed ones. My Perfect Push-Ups have always worked, although one of them seems to have a bearing that may seize. I have the one's with the red triangle, because they were full price when I got those. Have they been redesigned since the first generation? I notice that some now appear to be like a gray plastic body with a turquoise triangle on the Body Rev logo. Is there anything that anyone can insure that the quality control is taken care of, or should I wait a while before ordering these? I don't want to be down on the products, because I love the concept and range of motion that they provide. It just seems that the hardware has left something to be desired from my experience. Alden Mills you are definitely the man and I look forward to trying more products as I prefer calisthenics.

Darius -- There have been no issues with the Dip bar. I'm not sure what red triangle you're referring to on the PPU: could you send a picture to getfit@perfectpushup.com?

Hi, I will like to know the size of the dip bar, it is because I think that one side of the door wpnt fit with it... but looking forward for your excellent products

Alden Mills said...

Randall -- The dip bar adjusts to the same door frame size as the pullup. There is a foam ring that sits outside the door frame that presses against the molding aound the door. It measures 3" wide. Provided your door molding and extra clearance is that wide, the dip bar will fit. Send a picture -- and your address -- to getfit@perfectpushup.com -- when you've got everything installed.

Alden -- I just received the Perfect DIP Bar today and it took a little longer to install it than I expected. I finally figured out that you have to extend one side of the arm to the to the wall so that both of the clips lock into place.

I just installed the perfect pullup and dip bar. It looks great, but I bought it for my son, and the connection of the dip bar to the pull up bar that I have is different from what is shown on the vid at the top of this page. Mine requires more of an 'installation,' with the support bracket from the dip bar clipping on to the pullup bar arms. I'm afraid it will be too difficult for my son to put on and take off. Is there any way I can trade/adapt my current system for the one that's shown in the vid - which is what I thought I was getting. Thanks.

I use the pushup and pullup devices and as soon as I find a store that carries the dip bar, I'll use it too.

I was getting down because I could once do 25 pullups and 100 push ups in a single set, and I was getting pretty weak. So I set the devices in the doorway to my room so I would have to walk by them every morning and know it was my own lack of dedication keeping me down.

I am keeping some video footage of my workouts and my progress to post on YouTube. I am a big supporter of your product and how cheap and effective body-weight training can be.

I may have to break down and order the dip bar online, though with stores closing left and right I try and support my local sports equipment stores

I am disappointed in the 'Perfect Dip Bar' ability to install and uninstall quickly! This is especially true when removing the Dip Bar for a pull-up workout. I would love to see a 'quick detach' of the Dip-Bar as there is simply too much struggle removing bar (unless of course I am missing something here)!

I feel I will not be using the dip-bar much because it lacks a 'quick detach' feature...

Michael J. Golde said...

I beg to differ. I can attach and detach the Perfect Dip Bar in less than a minute. The key is place the bar before the Dip Bar attachment. Also, place the cushions of the Dip Bar attachment against the door frame in a straight line position.

At first, I had a little trouble figuring this out. But, after a while, it became very routine and easy.
